Town ready to wow Bloom judges again

Stone in Bloom members celebrate last year’s Heart of England in Bloom success

The route to be taken by the Heart of England in Bloom judges on Thursday 19th July has been revealed.

The judges will be running the rule over the town as Stone hopes to win a Heart of England gold medal for the fifth year running in 2012 – a huge achievement. You can see the route the Heart of England judges will take  here If the judges are heading down your street, why not make sure that everything’s looking spick and span?

And this year Stone will be taking part in the Britain in Bloom competition for the first time, competing against Belper, Chichester, Coleraine, Dumfries, Huntington, Knaresborough, Rhyl, St Helier and Truro for the Best Large Town prize. Judging for the Britain in Bloom competition takes place later in the summer.

Volunteers have been hard at work around the town for months – no doubt you’ve probably seen them. They meet at the Crown Street car park on Mondays and Thursdays at 6pm. If you can help, please go along to make sure Stone is looking fantastic on judging day. There’s lots more information at www.stoneinbloom.com
