Members of Stone in Bloom’s working group were joined by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides from the town, as well as members of Stone Lions and residents, for a big community tree plant on Saturday 26th March.
The event was held to celebrate National Tree Planting Day after the Royal Horticultural Society donated 450 tree whips to Stone in Bloom. They were planted mainly in Crown Meadow and Westbridge Park, with some being donated to local schools in the build-up to the big day.
Stone in Bloom are holding a launch event in April for their 2011 gold medal campaign after major successes in recent years.
