B&M welcomes shoppers to its new Stone High Street Store

B&M StoneB&M’s new store in Stone High Street was officially opened this morning by the mayor and a delegation from Stone Community Hub

Housed in the former Co-op store, which closed in January 2018, the new store has been a hive of activity over the last few months. The landlord for the building needed to complete some essential works before the B&M shop fitting team could get to work.

There has been a lot of buzz in the town about the opening of the new store which sells a myriad of products including toys, food & drink, homeware, pet products, and health & beauty and seasonal range. There are 8 aisles stocked full of all sorts of goods, including some basic clothing items.

B&M SocksThe Stone B&M store has created 40 locals jobs and will bring a new dynamic to the High Street with its long opening times and Sunday trading.

The store adds to the new Mirella and BEAR shops that also opened in November.

B&M position themselves as a footfall magnet saying about the B&M Bargains store:

“We have two formats: B&M Bargains and B&M Home Store. The former has between 8,000 and 10,000 sq ft of sales area. The extremely competitive offering attracts high footfall, with stores achieving 10,000 transactions in an average week, peaking at nearly 30,000 per week. This footfall is one of the highest enjoyed by any UK retailer, demonstrating the crowd pleasing offer we bring to any retail destination.”

Parking

The store is easily accessed from the Smart Parking operated pay and display car park at the rear of the store.  Please be aware that this is a camera monitored car park with disabled visitors still being required to pay for their parking

Public Transport

The new store is a 10 minute, half a mile, walk from Stone railway station or a short walk from the bus stop at Granville Square.
