On Tuesday night Stone Town Council signed off the calendar of planned events for the remainder of 2019.
As in previous years, the Town Council is again arranging Stone Music Festival, Stone by the Sea and a Classic Car Show, all of which have proved popular in previous years.
For 2019 there are some new events such as a performance by ‘Le Réveil Sablonnais Serrièrois’ Wind Orchestra, the Buzz King Marionettes Drama Workshops and the Glorishears of Brummagem Morris Dancers.
These events will run alongside the regular Farmers’ Market and the Craft and Collectables Market and the newly launched Stone Traders’ new Late Night Shopping/Street Food Events.
Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said
“I am pleased to be able to present such an exciting, full and varied range of free events. There should be something for everyone, and I hope that they help to bring both local residents and visitors into the town”.
