Stone Farmers’ Market to close early on Saturday due to forecast strong winds

Stone Farmers’ Market will finish an hour earlier than usual this Saturday after organisers said the event will close at 2 pm because of forecast strong winds.

The farmers’ market and Stone Town Council general market are both due to return to Stone High Street, on Saturday 4 April 2026. Normally, the farmers’ market runs until 3 pm, but shoppers are now being encouraged to head into town earlier in the day.

That means there is still plenty of time to browse, pick up a few weekend bits, and enjoy the market, but anyone leaving it until later may miss out.

Market days are a regular draw in Stone town centre. They bring extra footfall to the High Street and give people a chance to shop from a wide mix of food, drink, craft and community stalls, all in one place.

This weekend’s line up includes a long list of returning traders, from cakes, pies and bakery stalls through to plants, pottery, gifts and local produce. A second group of traders will also be set up at the top of the High Street with Stone Town Council.

Organisers say the markets will still go ahead as planned, just with the earlier finish because of the weather outlook later in the day.

Below is the full trader line up that has been shared for Saturday, listed in alphabetical order so people can quickly check whether their favourites are due in town.
