A stretch of towpath in Stone has been closed to allow canal repair work to be carried out.
The Canal and River Trust has closed the towpath between the Lime Kiln Lock (by Fuller’s boatyard) and Bridge 96 by the Whitebridge estate. The Trust has been repairing the canal washwall on the stretch but the damage is more extensive than they originally thought.
