Vote for your Fire Service Champion 2014

Residents, partners and businesses have just one week left to vote for the Fire Service Champion’ of 2014 as part of the MORE Awards. Voting for the awards, which are in their seventh year, closes on Monday, March 31.

During the ceremony a member of staff or a team will be recognised for their outstanding contribution and commitment to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. There are nine categories in total but the winner of the Fire Service Champion accolade will be decided by members of the community.

The remaining eight categories are put forward internally, with one of the awards being presented to an external organisation which has assisted the Service through its contribution to fire safety. They include:

·         Fire Service Champion (voted by staff)

·         Fire Service Champion – Partnership Achievement

·         Fire Service Fundraiser Champion

·         Fire Service Champion – Service to the Community

·         Peter Harrison Innovation and Improvement Champion

·         Leadership Message and Cultural Framework Champion

·         Young Person of the Year

·         Member Involvement in the Community

Members of the public can make nominations through the Service’s website at www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk, by collecting a form from their local fire station or by calling 01785 898979 to request a form.

The award winners will be announced at the County Showground in Stafford on June 12 2014. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is actively seeking sponsorship for the MORE Awards ceremony.
