[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Stone’s performing arts school, Rooftop Studios, is holding an extra-special Christmas Fair to spread some festive cheer, hopefully get everyone ding donging merrily on high and jingling all the way, and help raise money for charity. Fa la la la la!
The fun-filled event takes place on Sunday 6th December, and will feature the usual seasonal favourites, from mulled wine, mince pies, hot chocolate and stollen, to live carol singing. There’ll even be a cheeky elf to welcome visitors – with proceeds from the event going to Rooftop’s nominated charity, Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Throughout the school’s three studios there will also be a host of seasonal activities to enchant and entertain the little ones, including face painting, a Disney princess meet-and-greet, Frozen karaoke, and last but by no means least…a traditional Santa’s Grotto. Have you been good this year?
Grown-ups, meanwhile, can browse the many Christmas stalls for gift ideas and delicious treats.
[box type=”shadow” align=”aligncenter” ]Studio director Laura Keeling said: “Earlier this year, the son of one of my close friends was diagnosed with a severe strain of Muscular Dystrophy, a particularly cruel condition which causes the body’s muscles to weaken over time. We wanted to offer our support at this difficult time, and thought a festive fair, with all proceeds raised from hiring the tables for the fair’s Christmas stalls, could help raise much-needed funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK, which carries out fantastic work to help those affected. This is an ‘open house’ event, with free entry, so we’d like to invite everyone to come along and join in the festive fun, while helping to support a very good cause.”[/box]
