Stone Rugby Club’s motto on Saturday 28 October will be “no pain, no gain” when they tackle a sponsored wax to raise funds for the club.
With a match scheduled against local rivals Stafford at home the same day, the Enson Lane ground was already going to be busy, but some players decided to up the ante. And the more money they raise, the more painful the challenge gets!
If the funds raised hit £200 they will wax their legs from the knees down, £300 add waxing their armpits, £400 brings in nose hair, and £500 means players will get a back, sack, and crack wax too!
This will then be followed by a Halloween and Fireworks social, so those who have lost hair can drown their sorrows (and pain) in a pint at the clubhouse.
