To round the year off, Stone’s popular street food event Feast will return to the High Street with a festive twist!
On Wednesday 11th December, Stone High Street will play host to a special festive edition of Feast, featuring a Christmas Craft and Gift Market from 3:00pm until 9:00pm.
The pre-Christmas foodie extravaganza will feature some familiar favourites – including Grill Brazil and Gyro Guys – as well as new faces like Becky’s Bhajis, JW’s Holysmoke and Toastie the Difference!
Look out for local award-winning butcher Griffins of Stone, who will be serving some knockout Christmas-themed food. For those with a sweet-tooth, Churros Hermanos will be making a welcome return, and newcomers Eat Dutch will be tempting us all with their waffles and mini-pancakes.
Stone’s own Ten Green Bottles and Lymestone Brewery will be supplying the drinks, so don’t miss the chance to gather your colleagues for some festive fodder and fun to get the work Christmas party started early.
Not only will Feast be back, but shops on the High Street, and beyond, will be open for late-night shopping on 11th December too. Why not show your support by popping your head in and having a look around, whilst they’d love you to buy something it’s also nice for people to see what’s on offer in our great town.
Recently we ran a survey on Facebook to ask whether people thought Stone High Street was “on the way up”. Overwhelming you said YES with over 68% showing your virtual support for the direction that the High Street is heading.
A Christmas Craft and Gift Market will be running alongside the street food market, with local artists, makers and artisan food and drink producers offering their goods for sale. Browse treats and gifts from the likes of Seed Chocolate, Staffordshire Gin, Daddy Cool’s Chilli, The Herb & Spice Co. and Emma Joustra, the Stone-based illustrator.
The whole event ‘presents’ the perfect opportunity to pick up some lovely Christmas gifts and stocking fillers. And visitors can feel good about supporting their local high street, which needs our support more than ever.
