Age Concern Stone & District support service to open from next week

Age ConcernThe Age Concern Stone & District support service will be re-opening its doors in the town once again from next week, however, there will be restricted opening times and services.

As the organisation returns, they will be operating a restricted service, initially on Tuesdays and Fridays – starting next Tuesday, the 4th August from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

They will be offering a reduced service of two days a week as a trial and then reviewing their opening hours later in August, in the hope they can offer a fuller service when it’s appropriate to do so.

Social distancing measures will be in place which will mean, sadly, that at this current time they won’t be able to resume their hospital volunteer drive scheme, coffee mornings or lunch clubs.

They have asked if people could call 01785 817906 to book an appointment but as always their doors are open and if you do call in you may be asked to wait. The services are free and if you are 50 years and over they will do their very best to help you.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not the Age UK charity shop, that has confirmed that it won’t be re-opening in Stone following the lockdown.
