Stone dog owners have a new dog grooming choice after Blooming Grooming opened its doors on Radford Street in the town – we caught up with the owner Amy Marie Sharpe to find out more.
It’s been all go for Amy as she transformed a former dentists office in Stone’s Radford Street into a fully kitted out dog grooming salon – called Blooming Grooming.
We chatted to Amy about her new venture and what the salon will offer customers in Stone and the surrounding areas.
“I am a qualified accountant, which I enjoyed, however since having 2 children and seeing other businesses working I wanted this for myself and also my family.
“My love for dogs and how they don’t judge a person no matter what their personal circumstances were key drivers for opening the business. Dogs are very loyal and will always cheer up a person’s day.”
For now, Amy is working on her own but is hopeful that with a successful launch and expanding customer base, she’ll be able to expand her team in 2022.
We recently reported on the new Chocbox chocolate shop on the High Street, and we wanted to hear from Amy about what brought her to Stone and select the unit that she’s now operating from.
Amy told us:
“I wasn’t born in Stone but fell in love with the community and scenery, I knew that Stone was definitely where I wanted to live.
“The high street has always had a family feel with businesses looking out for each other and promoting each other.
“I’m looking forward to Blooming Grooming becoming part of that small business community network which is the lifeblood of towns like Stone.”
We asked Amy what Blooming Grooming would be offering to local dog owners.
“We offer a friendly 1 to 1 grooming service, catering all breeds and coat types.
“We will have offers on regular grooms and my soon to launch website will have more details on this.
“Loyalty cards and samples will be given within the first month of trading.”
