A long established Staffordshire barbering business is expanding into Stone, with Goodfellaz Barbers set to open a new town centre shop this September.

The business, which has been trading in Stoke on Trent for 26 years, will open its second location at 24 Radford Street on Tuesday 1 September.
The premises sit on the corner of Radford Street and Northesk Street, opposite The Royal Exchange, and has previously been home to both an outdoor pursuits shop and, more recently, an art gallery and exhibition space.
Owner Gino Dipiazza has spent 46 years working as a barber and says opening in Stone is the next step for the business, with a third shop already planned for Eccleshall next year.
The wider Goodfellaz Barbers team includes Shimano Slade, Connor Jones, Ethan Lawson, Logan Clay and Bella Dipiazza.
Gino told A Little Bit of Stone:
“I have been cutting men’s hair for 46 years and I love making customers look smart and up to date with all styles. It is my passion and my team’s passion.”
He added
“We pride ourselves on classic, modern and traditional haircuts.”
The new shop will offer a range of barbering services, including classic cuts, skin fades, mid fades and flat tops, alongside men’s skincare products and aftershaves.
Explaining why he wanted to bring the business to Stone, Gino said he believes there is demand for a more traditional style of barbering alongside modern haircutting.
He said
“A lot of gents of a certain age have nowhere to go in Stone.”
To celebrate the official opening on Tuesday 1 September, the team will be offering free haircuts throughout the day, along with drinks and light refreshments. Customers are encouraged to book in advance.
The business also expects to create a new job opportunity as it establishes itself in the town.
Opening hours:
- Monday, 10am to 2pm
- Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm
- Sunday, 10am to 4pm
