Police seek footage after electric bike incident in Stone

Staffordshire Police are asking Stone residents to check their CCTV or video doorbell recordings following a report involving two individuals on high-powered electric bikes on Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The pair were seen riding dangerously through the Old Road area, weaving in and out of traffic and behaving aggressively towards pedestrians. The incident was reported to police as occurring during the day, with concerns raised about both road safety and public behaviour.

PCSO Neil Moffatt, who covers the Stone area, has issued a local alert asking anyone who may have footage that could help identify the individuals to come forward.

Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 0796 of 03/08.

This appeal comes as police continue to respond to community concerns about reckless use of electric vehicles and antisocial behaviour in residential areas.

  • Yeah I’ve seen them, I think they live down Prince’s St or visit individuals on Prince’s street, can’t remember which house but there was an Electric bike leaning on the house & I’ve seen the individual riding it a few times.

    Stone has gone to pot, I don’t know if it’s landlords shipping in any old rabble without a shred of a vetting process or we’ve got some sort of social housing, but it’s starting to resemble Stoke-on-Trent with youths loitering about, it’s not even innocent youths who play nice because you’ll hear stories how someone has been attacked.
