Young dancers from Rooftop Studios were back in Stone with plenty to celebrate after a successful trip to Liverpool recently.

The studio’s street dance teams picked up a string of wins and placings at the ‘Calling You Out’ competition, with dancers from the Stone and Leek branches competing across team, solo and duo categories.
Strong results across the day
Among the biggest results were first place finishes for team divisions involving RT Rascals, RT Rebels, RTG and RTK, capping off a strong day for the studio.
There was individual success too.
Holly Joy, from the Stone studio, won the Under 10 category, while Georgia Campbell from Leek took the Under 6 title. Freya finished first in the Under 16 Set Solo category and Lillian placed first in the Under 16 Freestyle Solo.
The competition brought together dancers from different age groups and categories, and the results gave Rooftop Studios plenty to shout about on the journey home.
More than just trophies
Studio director Laura Keeling said the day meant more than the medals alone.
“We’re incredibly proud of all our dancers.
“Competitions like this are about so much more than trophies, they build confidence, resilience and teamwork. Watching the dancers support each other and celebrate each other’s achievements was really special.”
She also thanked Miss Antonia for preparing the teams for competition, and praised the backing dancers receive from their families.
“The dedication from our students, teachers and parents is amazing and days like this really show what a fantastic community we have at Rooftop Studios.”
That sense of community matters in places like Stone, where dance schools often become a big part of family life as much as weekly classes. For the dancers, it was a day of hard work paying off. For parents, teachers and supporters, it was one of those trips home that feels a bit shorter with trophies in the car.
