Bin collection dates in Stone and the wider borough will change next week because of the Easter Bank Holiday.

Stafford Borough Council says revised collection days will be in place from next week up to and including Saturday 11 April 2026, following the bank holiday on Monday 6 April 2026.
Good Friday, on Friday 3 April 2026, will still be a normal working day for bin crews.
Residents are being asked to check their updated collection day for bins and blue bags, and to make sure everything is out by 7am on the morning of collection.
The council has also asked people to help spread the word to friends, neighbours or family members who may not use email or social media regularly.
Collection details can be checked through Stafford Borough Council’s postcode checker on its website.
With the Easter weekend often catching people out, it is worth double checking dates rather than assuming your usual day will stay the same.

There is also a reminder for households in Stone about the new grey food waste bins. These are now starting to be delivered across the town ahead of the new weekly food waste collections beginning from Monday 13 April 2026.
