Police issue update after aerial and foot search around Aston Lodge

Police have issued an update after officers, police cars and a police aircraft were seen around the Aston Lodge area of Stone on Monday 8 June.

Staffordshire Police have confirmed that they were called to Uttoxeter Road at 4.45pm following concerns for the welfare of a child.

The force said a small boy had been seen walking alone along a road opposite a nearby cricket club, close to a housing estate.

Officers attended on foot to carry out a search. A drone was also deployed and the National Police Air Service was informed.

Police said CCTV cameras were checked as part of the response, but no one matching the description of the child was located.

Officers left the scene at 7.10pm.

The update relates to incident 614 of 08/06/2026.
