A family friendly afternoon tea will be held at Stone Cricket Club in August to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, following a recent breast cancer diagnosis in a local family.
The event is being organised in support of Jem, whose youngest sister Rose Moody has registered to fundraise for the charity.
Rose said Jem had recently received a diagnosis of an aggressive breast cancer and had been undergoing an intensive treatment programme.
She said
“She has been incredibly brave and strong undergoing an extremely intensive treatment programme.
“In honour of Jem, we are hosting a family friendly Breast Cancer Now Afternoon Tea this August. Stone Cricket Club have very kindly offered to host us.”
The afternoon tea takes place at Stone Cricket Club, Lichfield Road, on Friday 21 August 2026, from 4pm.
The event is open to the public and families, friends and neighbours are being invited to go along for an afternoon of treats, fizz and fundraising in support of Breast Cancer Now.
The organisers are also asking local people and businesses for donations of prizes for a raffle, tombola and children’s tombola.
