Staffordshire Police have issued 16 Community Protection Warnings following two vehicle meets on the A34 between Trentham and Stone.
The warnings were issued on Friday 14 August to the registered keepers of vehicles identified following gatherings on Sunday 26 July and Sunday 2 August.
Police said the warnings are intended to remind vehicle owners of their responsibilities over the safe and lawful use of their vehicles.
They also highlighted the impact vehicle meets can have on surrounding communities, including anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance and risks to public safety.
The latest action follows a warning from Stafford Borough Police earlier this week over increased reports of car meets, cruising and street racing around Stone, Tittensor and Trentham. [Link to our previous article here]
Staffordshire Police said
“We will continue to use all of the tactics available to tackle anti-social behaviour in our community.”
Police have not said whether any further action has been taken against vehicles or individuals in connection with the two gatherings.
