The full time role is being advertised at £14.55 per hour PAYE, with the successful applicant joining the force’s Public Protection Command.

The post will involve reviewing historic evidential case files in paper format to determine whether they meet criteria for further review.

Applicants will need to be comfortable working through large volumes of information and identifying key details, including the nature of crimes recorded and the number of victims and suspects involved.

The material being reviewed is sensitive and includes evidence relating to sexual offences, something the recruitment advert specifically asks potential applicants to consider before applying.

Previous policing or crime review experience is listed as desirable in another current advertisement for the same vacancy, while PIP 2 accreditation would also be an advantage. The role may also require occasional travel to Leek.

The vacancy is temporary and has the reference number 373332.

Anyone interested can apply through the vacancy advertised by Essential Employment, or email their CV to Kirsty@essentialemploy.co.uk, quoting reference 373332.

You can also find more vacancies in Stone and the surrounding area in the A Little Bit of Stone Jobs section.

I am interested in the role advertised, however, I do have spent convictions which are over 20 years old. Would this stop me from applying?
