Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after reports of an e-scooter being ridden in what officers described as a dangerous and anti-social manner around Stone town centre.

The rider was last seen between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Wednesday 14 October, travelling from Newcastle Road onto Crown Street.
Witnesses told police the e-scooter was being ridden at speed, including towards oncoming traffic, causing concern to members of the public and other road users.
The rider is described as male, approximately 5ft 4in tall, dressed entirely in black and wearing a face covering.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the rider, or who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area between 7.30pm and 7.45pm, to get in touch.
Privately owned e-scooters cannot legally be ridden on public roads, cycle lanes, pavements or other public places, apart from limited authorised rental schemes. Police said riders may also commit offences relating to insurance, driving licence requirements and careless or dangerous riding.
Staffordshire Police asked people who witnessed or have footage of the incident:
“Please include as much detail as possible, including the time and location of any sightings. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could assist in identifying the rider and preventing further incidents.
Thank you for your assistance in helping to keep Stone safe. Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could prove vital in identifying the rider and preventing further incidents.“
