Stone Community Hub craft group makes handmade poppies for Royal British Legion appeal

Members of Stone Community Hub’s Friday Craft Group have been busy making handmade poppies to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Over the past few weeks, the group has been crocheting and crafting red poppies ahead of Remembrance Day on Wednesday 11 November.

The finished poppies are now on sale at Stone Community Hub, based at the Frank Jordan Centre on Lichfield Street, priced at £2 each, with proceeds supporting the appeal.

The Hub’s Craft Group meets every Friday from 10am to 11.45am, giving people an opportunity to enjoy crafting and a chat.

Anyone wishing to purchase a poppy can visit the Hub, which is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm.
