Alleyne’s Academy headteacher shares details of their 2018 set of exam results
Students at Alleyne’s are celebrating having gained another impressive set of exam results for the 2017/2018 academic year.
Here are the details:

A Level students did very well with 71 achieving an average grade of B.
22 students gained 3 or more A*-B grades and 13 of these gained AAB grades which allowed entry to the Russell group of universities.
8 students achieved an average grade of an A or better.
1 student achieved 4 A* grades, with which he is going to Oxford to study Physics and another student secured a place at Sheffield to study Medicine.
Students studying Applied General (formerly BTEC) qualifications have gained an average grade of Distinction
GCSE Results
71% of students achieved a standard pass (9-4) in both English and Maths, with 48% gaining the strong pass (9-5)
Grade 4 is equivalent to the old C Grade, and Grade 7 is equivalent to an A Grade.
8 students gained an average grade of 8 or better.
One Alleyne’s student joined an elite group of 732 students in the country who gained a grade 9 in 7 or more subjects.
