There’s some terrible graffiti on the canal in Stone, starting on the walkway down to the canal over the railway line and ending just before the Newcastle Road lock.
The bright red graffiti is on the railway bridge, on the garden walls that run next to the canal, on the lock itself – it looks terrible and is a horrible sight for visitors travelling to or through the town by narrowboat.
I’m not sure when the graffiti was sprayed as it’s been a good few weeks since I’ve walked down the canal. If you have any more information, please leave a comment below.
I’ve reported the graffiti to the borough council’s StreetScene team – and you can do the sane here. Hopefully, it can be cleaned up soon.
