Audio/video: Dan and Joel’s fight for fair milk price

You may well recognise these two teenagers.

Dan Weaver, 13, and Joel Dart, 14, took part in a peaceful protest against the price that supermarkets pay farmers for their milk at Asda in Stafford recently – and a photo of them with two cows from Aston Pool Farm in Stone made the national, and even international, media.

Dan’s dad runs Aston Pool Farm, which is just off the A34, and his pal Joel is a regular helper on the farm, too.

We caught up with them this week at the farm to talk about the protest, their love for dairy farming and why they really don’t mind getting up at 4am during their school summer holiday!
