There are lots of walks in Stone and further afield as part of this year’s Stafford Borough Walking Festival from 13th to 22nd May.
Now in its third year, the festival is a celebration of walking in the borough. The nine-day event is jam-packed with walks – and ends on 22nd May with a bid to break the world record for a barefoot walk at the Trentham Estate!
These are the walks that are taking place in Stone or the surrounding villages. Click here for the full Walking Festival programme, which includes nature walks, history walks and a stargazer walk!

It’s a shame that the organisers are not trying to encourage any dog walkers to join them in any / many the events. Responsible owners keep their dogs on a lead, under control and pick up any mess. They also enjoy doing a lot of walking and may feel alienated by your ‘No dogs please’ request.

Yes, it does seem strange that dogs aren’t allowed on the walks. Can only assume that this is the ramblers’ policy…
