Car stolen after keys taken during break-in

A car was stolen in Stone early on Wednesday morning after burglars took the keys during a break-in.

The black Ford Focus was stolen following a burglary at a property in Bakewell Drive, near Lichfield Road. It happened at around 5.30am on Wednesday 18th December when offenders used a shovel to gain entry to the garage at the property before entering the kitchen and stealing keys to the vehicle. They also took a purse, wallet and other keys.

A witness saw two males drive off in the vehicle towards Lichfield Road and another two males followed in another vehicle. They were all wearing dark-coloured hooded tops.
