Classic cars to return to Stone High Street this July

Stone High Street and Market Square will host around 60 classic cars this summer as Stone Town Council brings back its free classic car event.

Classic cars on display in Stone Market Square, with visitors looking at vehicles including a black sports car and a white racing car.

The event takes place on Saturday 11 July 2026, from 11am to 3pm, with vehicles on display across the town centre.

A road closure will be in place on the High Street from 7am to 5pm, meaning no vehicles other than the classic cars taking part in the event will be able to access the High Street during that time.

Stone Town Council has been working with Stone Carnival Committee to organise the event, with most of the cars expected to be local to Stone.

This year’s event will include a showcase of cars from the 1950s and 1960s in Market Square.

Councillor Jill Hood, chairman of the council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said

“The Town Council is pleased to be able to bring a Classic Car event to Stone High Street once again. With such a wide range of vehicles there is sure to be something for everyone!”

The event is free to attend and will run alongside the usual town centre shops, cafés and businesses.
