A love of scooters and the fashion and tunes of the Mod scene led Len Hamilton to set up Stone Scooter Club 12 months ago – and the club is going from strength to strength.
Len’s passion for scooters has seen the club grow quickly, with regular Wednesday night meetings, Sunday ride-outs (a recent one was to Llangollen) and attendance at big scooter events all over the country.
The club’s members recently attended a big event in Woolacombe along with thousands of other scooter enthusiasts. They’ve also attended events in Whitby, Weston-super-Mare and Morecambe this year.
Len said: “It’s a really friendly scene. The club regularly meets up with other clubs from across the West Midlands and it’s always a really good get-together. I love everything about the scooter scene – the scooters, obviously, but also the music and the fashion. You can’t beat it. After many years away, I really wanted to get back into scooters, so setting up the club was a great way to do this. Anyone who wants to get involved should get in touch.”
