Young people in Stone have been urged to keep the boredom at bay during the summer holiday by signing up for a Your Staffordshire card.
The card allows people aged between 11 and 19 to travel anywhere in the county on the bus for just £1 per journey.
Staffordshire County Council unveiled the card in the spring and hopes to extend it to allow cardholders to benefit from a range of offers and discounts from county businesses and attractions.
If these plans are implemented everyone in Staffordshire will be able to have a Your Staffordshire Card.
To apply for a card visit www.yourstaffordshirecard.info or call 0300 111 8000.
County Councillor Mike Maryon, Cabinet member for Highways and Transport, said: “The Your Staffordshire Card has proved incredibly popular since it was launched in the spring with thousands of young people already signing up to it and enjoying the benefits that it brings.
“It is the ideal way for youngsters to get out and about during the summer holiday with every journey starting or ending in Staffordshire costing just £1.
“It will also have a really positive impact on the local economy as it’s never been easier or cheaper for young people to get to leisure and entertainment activities. Parents benefit too as they will be let off taxi duty which not only saves time but, with soaring petrol prices, they will also save money. Everyone is a winner.”
