Driver checked by paramedics after car hits railings and building in Stone

A driver was checked by paramedics after a car collided with railings and a building on Christchurch Way in Stone on Friday afternoon.

Police, paramedics and Stone Community First Responders attended the incident near James Du Pavey Estate Agents, after the blue Toyota came to rest on the pavement side of the pedestrian railings.

Staffordshire Police told A Little Bit of Stone

“We were called at 2.30pm today (Friday 14 August) to Christchurch Way in Stone following reports of that a blue Toyota had collided with railings and a building.

“The driver of the car, a woman, was checked over by paramedics at the scene but did not require medical treatment.

“Recovery has been arranged for the car.”

Stone Community First Responders also confirmed that nobody else had been hurt.

They said

“We attended, fortunately neither the driver or any pedestrians suffered any injury.”

One lane was temporarily closed while the incident was dealt with, causing traffic to build in the area.

The road was clear again later in the afternoon.
