Families in Stone and across Staffordshire are being reminded that free summer holiday activities and meals will be available for eligible children through the county’s Holiday Activities and Food programme.

The Staffordshire County Council HAF summer programme is aimed at children and young people aged 5 to 16 who receive benefit related free school meals.
Eligible children can book up to 16 free places during the summer holidays, with activities expected to include a mix of sports, arts and crafts, games, trips and other sessions, depending on what is available locally.
The programme will run at locations across Staffordshire from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August 2026.
Each session includes an activity and food, with the programme designed to help children stay active, meet others and enjoy structured activities during the school holidays.
Bookings open at 4pm on Friday 19 June. Parents and carers of eligible children should receive an email or letter from Staffordshire County Council containing their child’s HAF code.
Schools and Family Hubs will also have access to codes and can help families with booking details.
Parents and carers are advised to look at the activities available in advance and book early once places open, as spaces can fill up quickly.
Some providers may also offer paid places for children who are not eligible for funded sessions, depending on availability.
A separate HAF teen offer is also available for eligible young people aged 11 to 16, including activities and development opportunities.
