Stone families are in for a real treat (no tricks!) on Sunday 27th October as Stone Sunday Series presents a FREE Family Halloween Festival in the High Street.
Stone Traders’ Group is working with the Stone Food & Drink Festival team to bring some ghoulish delights into town, with the event supported by Stafford Borough Council and funded by the UK Government. Attractions include a markers’ market, kid-friendly craft activities, performances from local dance schools Rooftop Studios and Studio B School of Dance, Halloween-themed Punch & Judy shows and more. There will also be a fun Halloween trail around local shops to complete and a fancy dress competition, with prizes up for grabs for both of these activities.
Ed Stant, talking on behalf of Stone Traders’ Group, says:
“The aim of Stone Sunday Series is to get the High Street buzzing with a programme of year-round events, and Halloween is always great fun for families. In addition to the market and packed programme of events kids are encouraged to come in fancy dress for the chance to win a prize and there will also be a winner randomly chosen from all completed Halloween Trails handed in throughout the day. Our local shops will be open for business and town’s great selection of coffee shops, pubs, bars and eateries will offer ample choice for refreshment.
“The event and all kids’ activities are completely free, thanks to funding from the UK Government via Stafford Borough Council , so it really is an event for the whole community.”

The Family Halloween Festival will take place between 10am and 3pm on Sunday, 27th October in Stone High Street and entry is free.
