Ink with intention as Lottieinks opens new tattoo studio in the town

A new tattoo studio has opened its doors on Whitebridge Industrial Estate, bringing a calm and creative approach to body art. Lottieinks, founded by artist Lottie Mellor, blends fine art with a focus on comfort, care, and individuality

Lottieinks officially opened on 1st October 2025 and offers bespoke tattoo designs in a clean, welcoming, and professional space.

For Lottie, tattooing is more than ink on skin – it’s an art form built on connection and meaning.

“Tattooing, to me, is the most intimate form of art – it’s wearable, personal, and timeless,” she explained.

“I wanted to create a space that embodies that same sense of beauty and intention – somewhere clients feel safe, comfortable, and celebrated.”

Creating a space built on trust and care

Every detail inside Lottieinks reflects that philosophy. From its calm décor and private setup to its focus on hygiene and professionalism, the studio is designed to make clients feel completely at ease. Sessions are by appointment only, allowing time for one-to-one attention and creative collaboration.

Lottie places equal importance on both artistry and safety. The studio meets the highest hygiene standards, using only single-use sterile materials and premium equipment. It’s an approach that prioritises the client’s comfort and confidence throughout the entire process.

Bespoke design and personal experience

Each tattoo created at Lottieinks is entirely bespoke. Clients are encouraged to share their ideas and inspirations, and from there, Lottie develops custom artwork that blends fine art, symbolism, and individuality.

“It’s never just about putting a design on someone,” she said.

“It’s about telling a story and creating something meaningful that they can carry with pride.”

Beyond the artistry, clients receive detailed aftercare advice and access to high-quality products to ensure their tattoos heal beautifully and retain their quality. Gift vouchers and tailored packages are also available – a thoughtful option for birthdays or special occasions.

Why Stone felt like home

Choosing Stone as the base for her studio was a natural decision for Lottie, who has strong ties to the town.

“My family has businesses in Stone, and I used to live locally – it’s always felt safe and familiar,” she said.

“Stone has such a charming, historic centre and a real sense of community. Plus, being between Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, and Newcastle-under-Lyme makes it an ideal location.”

That combination of accessibility and character has helped the Whitebridge Industrial Estate become a hub for independent businesses, from homewares and studios to creative ventures like Lottieinks.

Looking ahead

Though newly opened, Lottie has already started planning for the future. The studio will soon host guest artists, apprentices, and creatives who share the same values of professionalism and client care. As she puts it,

“There’s so much talent out there, and I’d love Lottieinks to become a space where artists can grow and support one another.”

To mark the opening, she’s planning a “Welcome to Stone” flash event, featuring small, affordable designs inspired by the town and its natural surroundings. It’s a way of saying thank you to the community that helped make her dream a reality.

Calm, creativity and connection

Whether it’s someone getting their first tattoo or an experienced collector adding to their collection, Lottieinks offers something that feels refreshingly personal – a balance of art and empathy that sets it apart.

With flexible booking times and an emphasis on one-to-one sessions, every visit feels considered and unhurried.

“Clients today want more than just a tattoo,” Lottie said.

“They want an experience where they feel seen, respected, and valued – and that’s exactly what I aim to give.”
