Congratulations to the young paddlers from Stafford and Stone Canoe Club who have been selected for the England Talent Squads.
This year’s selection of junior paddlers for the prestigious talent squads began back in September. Profiling days were then held at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, at the end of October. The profiling days were tough and long, with a series of gruelling tests – white water technique, gym, sprint & diamond, physio and – at the end of the day when most were very tired — the BLEEP TEST!
All Stafford and Stone Canoe Club juniors performed well and did their club proud, but they had a few weeks to wait to find out who had made the squads. On Friday 7th November the England squad lists were published and the following S&SCC paddlers were selected:-
