St Michaels First School Stone Open Day

Knitting and nattering through the night!

A group of ladies from Stone raised hundreds of pounds for Children in Need by knitting through the night at a pub in the town!

The Yarn of Ale group meet regularly at the Royal Exchange in Radford Street for a good old knit and a natter. On Friday, they donned their jim-jams and knitted through the night, from 8pm to 8am on Saturday morning.

Customers at the Exchange donated generously, as well as taking part in a raffle and even getting involved in a bit of knitting themselves, with a red-and-white Stoke City scarf being knitted a line at a time by lots of different people – all for a donation of course!

Call into Yarn Gathering in Radford Street for more information about the Yarn of Ale group – and a huge well done to them for their fundraising efforts.
