Langtry’s back in business with Rob and Rita

Rob Edwards and Rita Durkin behind the bar at Langtry’s

Langtry’s has opened its doors again, with a new landlord and landlady ready to bring the good times back to the Stone boozer.

The Oulton Road pub had been closed for the last few months but finally opened up again on Thursday, with new landlord and landlady Rob Edwards and Rita Durkin behind the bar. The couple say there’ll be a quiz night every Friday and “relaxed” live music every Tuesday. They’ll also be serving food like hot pork and beef sandwiches at lunchtimes.

Rob has been a Langtry’s regular for the last 10 years and said: “It’s been brilliant since we opened. We’ve had a really great reaction and I think people are really pleased to see the pub open again. We were packed on Friday night.”

All the best to Rob and Rita from A Little Bit of Stone – it’s great to see Langtry’s open again!
