Women and girls of all ages are being invited to give cricket a go this November, with Little Stoke Cricket Club offering a free taster session for anyone interested in trying the sport.

The Stone club welcomes complete beginners alongside more experienced players, with no previous cricket experience needed to take part.
The club offers year-round training, matches and social activities for women and girls, including softball cricket, which uses softer balls and shorter games to make the sport more accessible to newcomers.
Coaches work with players at different stages, from those picking up a bat for the first time to experienced hardball cricketers. There are also opportunities to play competitively in local indoor and outdoor leagues against teams from across Staffordshire.
Alongside the physical activity, the club is keen to encourage women and girls who might be nervous about joining a new sporting group.
It says the sessions offer a chance to meet new people, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team, regardless of age or ability.
Anyone interested can attend a free, no-obligation taster session during November 2026.
For details of when and where the sessions will take place, visit the Little Stoke Cricket Club contact page to get in touch with the club.
