Local children’s author Sally Munslow will be visiting Stone Library for two story time sessions, giving young readers the chance to hear her debut book and purchase signed copies.
Sally will be reading Adventure Down the Plughole on Saturday 7 November and Saturday 5 December 2026, with both sessions starting at 10.30am.
Published by Austin Macauley Publishers in March 2026, the book takes readers on an imaginary journey down a plughole into Plug Town.
Along the way, the story’s central character, Sally, encounters an unusual collection of characters, including Mrs Bubbles, Lord Hair and the rather less friendly Mr Dandruff.
The book is Sally Munslow’s first published children’s story, although she developed an interest in writing short stories while at boarding school.
Sally recommends the book for children aged seven to eleven and will be reading it aloud during both library visits.
Families attending will also have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy, which Sally suggests could make a Christmas present for young readers.
Both sessions will take place at Stone Library on the High Street, starting at 10.30am.
