The arrival of a dedicated Free From aisle at Aldi in Stone is welcome news for local families living with allergies and intolerances.
Stone’s Aldi store is one of 300 across the UK taking part in a new trial introducing a clearly signposted Free From section, bringing gluten-free, dairy-free, and other allergen-friendly products together in one place.
The new section can be found between the biscuits and cereals and features an expanded range of staples, snacks and essentials. For families navigating allergies or coeliac disease, having clearly labelled and affordable options in one central spot is a positive and practical change.
As parents of a child with coeliac disease, A Little Bit of Stone know how much of a difference this can make. Having everything in one place – rather than scattered across aisles – means quicker shopping, fewer mistakes, and more accessible choices.
The Free From range at Aldi Stone includes a wide variety of gluten and dairy-free products at some of the most affordable prices currently available. As seen on shelves this week:
- Go Free Gluten Free Honey Nut Flakes (350g) – £2.29

From family-friendly cereals to pasta, snacks, and even gluten-free beer, the range reflects a real step forward for making allergy-aware shopping easier and more affordable.
While Aldi has previously stocked individual gluten-free products, this is the first time they’ve pulled them together into a dedicated section in UK stores. The move follows years of customer requests and mirrors the success of similar sections in Irish branches.
But this new section is part of a trial, so its future isn’t guaranteed.
It’s a case of use it or lose it. Aldi will surely be watching how well these products perform in-store to determine whether to continue or expand the initiative. That makes local support all the more important.
In addition to the main aisle, some gluten-free or dairy-free items can still be found around the rest of the store, particularly seasonally. As always, shoppers are encouraged to check product labels carefully, as ingredients and allergy warnings can change.
The new section has already sparked interest from the coeliac and allergy community, especially with its inclusion of everyday items at price points well below many supermarket Free From ranges.
With Coeliac Awareness Month coming up in May, there’s hope that Aldi might expand the offering further in the weeks ahead.
Where to find it
The Free From section is located between the biscuits and cereals in Stone’s Aldi store.
If you spot it during your shop, let us know what you think, and if there’s anything you’d like to see added, join the conversation.

About time!
Although, I went in on Friday and never saw it, so it must be that inconspicuous. It needs to have some adequate signage if people are going to use it because I’d hate to lose it.
