Stafford Borough Council’s Deputy County Returning Officer Ian Thompson said: “It only takes a few minutes to make sure you are registered. It is important that people register and vote so they can have their say on who they want to be making the key decisions on their behalf. These are decisions that affect the community we live in.”

He continued: “The deadline is Wednesday 17 April so if you’re not already registered don’t delay. Don’t let the deadline and the chance to have your say pass you by.”

Anyone who’s moved house recently needs to make sure they register their new address with the elections office.
