Missing woman found in Stone

A woman with learning difficulties who had been missing from her home in Cannock since Saturday was found safe and well in Stone today by one of the town’s PCSOs.

Officers from Cannock Chase Local Policing Team made an urgent appeal for information about 40-year-old Joanna Evans this morning. Police said she had no money or mobile phone.

PC 5667 Emily Lennox said this morning: “Joanna is particularly vulnerable and her family are desperate to know that she is safe and well. She should know that she is not in any trouble and does not have to return home if she doesn’t want to – we just need to know that she is safe.”

She was found in Stone this afternoon by PCSO Jenny Ludlow-Smith. No other details were available.
