With Stone Dominoes LFC’s senior match against Whitchurch being called off last weekend, the spotlight fell on the younger teams.

Stone Dominoes Under 16 Girls 3 – 1 Whitchurch Alport Juniors U 16 Girls
A great result for Stone away at Whitchurch. Stone took a while to switch on and had been giving the ball away easily when in possession. As soon as Stone went 1-0 down, however, they picked up their game and began to create chances. Chloe Luty was on hand to score from a penalty and Josie Woodward also netted for the Dominoes, giving them the lead at the half time whistle.
After a motivating team talk with the manager, the girls worked their socks off, winning every ball all over the pitch and closing down space when not in possession. Alex Walker rounded the scoring up making it 3-1. A superb second-half from the Dominoes which sees them still top of the U16 division. Player of the match was Leia Whitfield for another strong performance.
Stone Dominoes LFC’s senior team play Leek Ladies away on Sunday at 2pm.
