Pathway works to affect Westbridge Park play area access

Improvements to the pathway around Westbridge Park play area in Stone are due to start next month.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 8 June and is expected to take up to four weeks.

The timing has been planned for after the Whitsun break and before the school summer holidays.

Fencing will be put up around the work area while the improvements are carried out. A small section of play equipment will be unavailable during the works, but the play area will remain accessible.

A temporary entrance will be in place off Stafford Road and will be signposted.

Stafford Borough Council has also said portable public toilets will be installed on site while the main toilets are unavailable because of the work.

    Breedon gravel was never a proper surface from the start. Porous asphalt would be a better solution
