Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were reported riding a black moped dangerously in Stone and parts of Stafford.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday 28 June 2026.
Officers said the moped was reportedly seen in the Stone, Eccleshall Road, Hyde Lea and Burleyfields areas.
Both the rider and pillion passenger were described as wearing balaclavas and no helmets. Police said the moped was also not displaying any registration plates.
A photograph of the moped involved has been released as part of the appeal.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the vehicle being ridden in those areas, or anyone who may have information that could help identify those involved.
