Police appeal after pedestrian dies following A34 collision in Stone

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died following a collision in Stone.

Staffordshire Police said officers were called at 9.45am on Thursday 2 July to the A34 near Yarnfield Lane, following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead today, Friday 3 July.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone with doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area at the time to come forward.
