Police appeal after car driven wrong way through Stone High Street

Staffordshire Police are appealing for two people who witnessed a car being driven the wrong way along Stone High Street to come forward.

Just before 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 19th August, the driver of a blue Volkswagen Golf failed to stop for officers on Redhill Road in the town. The car was then seen travelling the wrong way along High Street.

A man has since been charged in connection with the incident, but officers are keen to speak to two pedestrians who were in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 660 of 19th August. Alternatively, contact the force via Live Chat on the Staffordshire Police website.

Information can also be passed anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
