A free bike tagging event is taking place on the car park at Morrisons on Saturday 11th May between 10am and 5pm.
Jack Welsh, crime reduction officer for Stafford and Stone, is co-ordinating the event and will be supported on the day by local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and police support volunteers.
Staff from The Bike Shack on Radford Street will also be on hand to give help and advice on bike maintenance. They will also be offering a 10 per cent discount voucher on accessories to anyone presenting their Bike Passport, which you can pick up on Saturday.
Jack Welsh said: “We will be fitting bikes with free immobilise GPS tags, which not only ensures that the bike is registered on the national property database, but also provides a GPS tag which can help the police to locate a stolen bike, increasing your chances of getting it back if it is unfortunately stolen.”
