Put the freeze on festive thieves

Shoppers at Morrisons on Thursday 1st December will get some top tips on how to keep themselves and their property safe this Christmas.

A special community safety event, organised by local PC Kate Scott, will be held at the supermarket in Mill Street between 11am and 3pm.

PC Scott, along with colleagues from Stafford Borough Local Policing Team, will be hosting the event and providing crime prevention advice. Motorists can also take advantage of free vehicle checks to make sure their cars are ready for winter driving conditions.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue will also be on hand to talk about safety in the home. A number of free de-icer bottles and windscreen scrapers will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Call PC 0787 Kate Scott on 101 for more information about the event.
