Residents of Westover, off Lichfield Road, held a royal wedding street party on Friday 29th April – thanks to Tracy Lovatt for sending these great pictures!
Tracy said: “About 50 people attended, mostly residents and a few guests. Everyone was asked to dress as a member of the royal family, with the children as prince and princesses.

“The guests were divided into two teams dependant on age: even ages were Capulets and odd ages were Montagues. We started with a BBQ at 1pm followed by lots of children’s games on the green.
“Later the adults joined in with a dance-off, a treasure hunt and a tug-o-war. After all the children got soaked in a water fight we ended the evening with several hours of karaoke.”
Sounds (and looks) like everyone had a great time!
There are lots of photos of the High Street royal wedding party here.

Thanks Jamie, these look fantastic. We had a really great day and you can tell from the photos that everyone got into the spirit! Now planning a Diamond Jubilee party for next year! In the meantime I’ll be checking out ‘aliitlebitof stone’; think it’s fabulous.
